This is a common problem with mtn here, especially these days of the afcon. Ive also been getting repeated messages if that is what you mean.

It only occurs if I recieve more than 1 MMS,
can't Vodafone handle more than 1 MMS to ones phone at a time?

I may phone them up about it don't recieve many MMS anyhows but I do want to be able to recieve them all

You never got this problem with o2

I have seen this problem many times.

If you switch the phone or and on it should then download the message for you.

The problem seems to be on how your phone handles GPRS request for the masts / network.

I had this problem many times on Orange with my old T610. If I crossed onto another GPRS that was slightly different, the phone couldnt lock onto the GPRS correctly, it would show that it was there, but not available.

Turning the phone of and on resolved the issue. This is also one of the reasons if you notice on SE phones with Orange that the phoneonly searchs for a CSD network (Talk and Text) and then when you receive a MMS or use wap, it only activates, when you stopped using them it swicthes of.

I think you can do the same with the Nokia phones. You can switch the GPRS system of and it only activates when you have a mms or use wap.

My friend who is on Voda has a simular problem and when gets a mms has to switch the phone of and on. The phone then locks onto the current GPRS system fine until traveling and then it can go of at any given time.

You coming back to o2 miss uk?

Hope this helps.

There free to send on o2 dont forget they come out of your bundle

It do agree its good to switch.

I did from Orange to O2, never looked back and in 12 months cut my bills by £1 and had 2 free phones and a third at a discount too

Only thing i miss is Orange 3g network which for me was quite good.

o2 have everything else, one of the cheapest networks now for most things and the cheapest network ive used when i went to usa. saved me over £150 on my normal bill

Have you also trying to update the phone to the latest software version?

02 maybe cheap for numerous things but not GPRS not when I was on them anyway, I just like the fact that Vodafone's services are better..

they have 2 types of 1471
you can check your bill over the phone and over GPRS.

02 just don't do that..

Ive had a few issues relating to payment with Vodafone just hoping everything's sorted next month or i'll be phoning up again if they cut me off

there CS is really good,
if you email them something they respond by phoning you lol

E65 is full of probs Vodafone have told me they get alot of them back,
my 1st handset was riddled with cancer,
my second switches off got it repaired yesterday apparentley something to do with the display, today I noticed it turned off again

if It does this alot im in my right mind to phone Vodafone and ask them for a change of phone altogether lmao!

My N80 thankgod ive got that works alot better my E65's haven't lasted more then 14 days without probs galore

btw I might decide to go back to 02 oneday,
they'd have to offer something well good though

I hope you get it sorted soon.

Voda billing system is a complete mess at the moment. They have major problems with the new billing system so good luck.

You can dial and get your ballance now with o2, they have only recently introduced it. and the new £7.50 is wicked. But i do agree that when you was with them it wasnt very good.

Good luck tho

The billing system statements I just don't understand 02 was alot easier but Vodafones is very complex ahh well im sure i'll get used to it

hopefully i'll save alot more cash with these btw
maybe they will increase there data from 120MB to something better then everyone elses aswell not that im complaining cos £1 for 15MB is pretty sorted for me
