in this case, get the ultimate ears. If it were another product from the Shure range, than maybe id say otherwise, but get the super fi's over the shure se210

Agreed. The UE's you mentioned are dual driver whereas the Shure 210's are only single driver.

A better Shure to go up against those UE's would probably be the 310's or something.

It all depends on what your budget is as U can get some baller triple driver earphones that cost the scary side of £300.

I'm not a Shure fanatic or anything by the way, they're just one of many brands I've been looking at recently also looking for some earphones to go with my K850.

There may be some audiophile on these forums who may be able to give better advice...

Well I got the SE420's which is a dual driver, one a dedicated subwoofer. They sound very good, got them on Ebay for $200. You are trying to compare two different classes of EIM's. The SE210's are pretty much on the low end of their product line, if not THE lowest. I havent heard the Ultimate Ears, but from what I've read, the SE's are much better. If you have the cash, I would highly recommend making the jump to dual drivers because the bass sounds MUCH better. It doesn't sound like your in this price range, but for those who read this and are, if you want THE best, then go with the SE530's, which have a triple driver (2 subwoofers). Audiophile reviewers say that they are better overall than the top end Ultimate Ears triple.fi 10 which also have three drivers.
As for on listening on the W960, I can't help you there. I live in America and therefore have a crap phone that I am using until the W980 or P5i comes out. I am a little nervous that these headphones will not sound too good on a cell phone because they pick up every little sound that goes on in whatever device it is playing on.

Edit: A year ago I bought the E2c by Shure, their previous low end, basically so it would block out the nose my roommates made. They considerably better than anything that comes with a media player. If you're just looking for a decent step up, but nothing spectacular, then go with the Se210's. They are still very good for the price.
