Hi can anyone help me,

I want to upload my camera pics and have noticed there is a way to create a small pic and have the link under.

On this page for example. Plankgatans.

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=156144&start=2055

I know how to do that but when i click on the link the pic loads full screen then returns to 764 x 573 and is much sharper.

How do i do this and get my pics that sharp when viewed on the forum?

I assume that it is the browser that scales down the picture again after loading. If you move the mouse pointer over the picture, do you notice that it changes into a plus sign? Click on the photo and it will be blown up to full size again.

Sharp also when viewed at full size? That could be difficult with most camera phones . . .

If you resize your pic (e.g 2592x1944 5MP, to 735x551 0.4MP) with photoshop or other softwares, your pic looks sharper. upload that resized pic to the forum.
imgeshack uses javascript to automatically resize the pic to screen size, or if you click on direct link, browser itself resize the pic, but your browser will download whole file.

Ok i have photoshop and need to know whats the best settings to save picture after resize?

Should i go to "save as web page"?

Options are obicular, obicular sharper, nearest neighbour etc.

Then what will i do at imageshack, i.e "optimize without resizing" or 800 X 600.

Please reply with help. Thanks in advance

Photoshop: Image->image size....->width:735, height:551->Bicubic sharper (best for reduction)
File->save as...

Imageshack: don't tick checkboxes, just upload resized pic.

Why all 5mp CMOS based camphones are inferior to K800/K810 quality-wise

hehe i thought everybody resized their images with computer software before uploading to the web..
I have allways resized mine with Photoshop, one reason is that i dont trust "web-based" programs that resizes your photos.. quality=nono.
I dont really know if thats really true actually.. i think it has to do with compression or something and photoshop works wonders for it!

But pics do get that sharper look if you shrink them a bit.
No secret there.. its photography skills that makes the pics and plankgatan is a good photographer for sure.
