You must get your GPRS connection settings from your service provider. Call their customer service and ask for the GPRS settings for your phone model. They will send you a settings SMS, save it as your defult settings, it will work. BTW who is your service provider, and wht phone model u have.

Sounds like you don't have GPRS at a network level. Give your service provider a call.

You need to get in touch with your Service provider. Does GPRS work on another phone with your sim?

Thanx guys.....i have an Airtel (India) Postpaid connection. i have had the same connection for my w800i and LG Shine and it worked perfectly on both the previous phones. I have been requesting the settings from Airtel time n again n they've been sending me the same. I recvd. several Auto Setup msgs from Airtel. The settings include :
BOOTSTRAP SETTINGS
NETWORK SETTINGS
PROXY SETTINGS
BOOKMARK(w2)
I accepted the settings, made Airtel Live (Airtel's GRPS Service) the Default Internet Account, restarted the phone. But nothing. says COULD NOT CONNECT TO REMOTE SERVER.

Wierd really.. And you don't really need to activate airtel live as it is pre activated on Airtel. Have you tried a reset of the phone? First a minor if not successful, a full reset.

Sometimes, the phone's sensitivity to signals seems to "get stuck;" like it just turned dumb after awhile. Go into Flight Mode, then back to Phone Mode again. It should try to pick up the GPRS, EDGE, or 3G signal again.

i suggest you to have a Master reset and SEUS Update even if it says you have the latest firmware.
Before that. do a full back up of your phone.
