I've updated my Sony Ericsson P1i today to firmware version R9J005, there's an annoying problem. During a call a warning icon appears next to the signal icon (Left top), when you click it, a message appear that says: CIPHERING IS NOT ACTIVE. I tried to put another SIM card in my phone still having same issue. Is there a way to stop it.

Help please!

it seems that more and more new firmwares are incorporating this warning where presumably, ciphering was off but there was no warning in the firmware. Someone else noticed it here in a K550 firmware update

if your network does not support ciphering then I think there is little you can do

The network does support ciphering, as this message appeared when they were updating their network, but I called them today, they told me try to put ur sim card in another phone, I did so, and no messages appeared in the other phone, the problem is in mine :s
