After reading some threads about people considering to use non-genuine batteries in their phones. I felt I needed to share my knowledge of non-genuine batteries(Everyone from norway should be well aware of this).
Using non-genuine batteries is not recommended.
A couple of months ago here in norway a persons phone(nokia 3310) exploded using a non-genuine battery from Clas Ohlson.
Luckily the person managed to throw it on the floor before it blew up where it left a rather large scorch mark. According to the person the phone started shaking and expanding right before it happened.
I certainly won't use a non-genuine battery in my phone. If a phone blows up in your hands or worse yet.. in your pants!!! Very close to you know what

One could get injured. Or even worse. My t68i could get ruined!!!

A nokia 3310 exploded as well in Taiwan but this time I think the geniue battery used...........maybe nokia want to use it to explode in the next Bond movie

I think the prob with unbranded batteries is not that dangerous but economic related:they r cheaper,bigger,heavier and their life span ranges from 2(TWO) to a maximum one year!most of them r fake or incredibly bad manufacture.so i advise against it cuz of the $! buy a new original one or better This post was posted from a Nokia

tranquil, thanks for the translation! I've never heard about this before. But someone posted that it also happened with an original battery. How true is that?

I think all batteries and electrical gadgets have a possibility of going wrong in the sence of exploding. TVs, stereos, even cars. a slight defect in the production can have these effects.
The clue, I think, is that the real Mc Coy is not made the "cheap" way and thereby decreases chances for things like this to happen dramaticly.
