hey guys need help here, i want to know how to convert or rename a gif or png image to a Splash image with no extension. I've seen this in a post but can't find it anymore. Many many thanks!

1. Resize the picture to 240x320 (you can do that with microsoft image resizer, just type the words image resizer @ google!)
2. Open it with paint save it as SPLASH.PNG
3. Use WINRAR to compress it to to SPLASH.RAR
4. Open SPLASH.RAR, then remove the .png extension
5. copy SPLASH into tpa/preset/system/settings

splash without any extension. Copy that to the phone's tpa/preset/system/settings directory and it should work.
Ex:
windows.gif
rename to
splash
without any extension

everybody has his own way to do it.. in the end it's all the same..

Well it sounded like we needed a special procedure to upload gif files as splash image to the phone, and your procedure is more complex than it should be. Its a simple matter of renaming without extension.
