hi all
i posted a few days back about my k800 firmware going crazy. well i flashed the phone thanks to all the guys that helped me out on this forum, especially tranced
after i flashed the phone it was worked fine for about 8 hours after that when i turned it off and on again the same problem started
so guys my question is
IS this a firmware problem or is the hardware fried?
and will posting the log here help?

@uchi: as you flashed your phone with an old firmware as well, i recomend you to flash it with a newer one. and in case you need to upgrade your CID, do it.

the american version FS didnt work for me
the flashing failed
so i download the european version and used one of the default custpack built in xs++ (coz i dont kno how to apply a custpack)
but the fone died after 8 hours of use
about changing the cid
isnt that gona cause some problems like lock the fone or brand it or something?

how do i load my own (downloaded) custpack in xs++2.2

you should have tried updating through SEUS, it is the safest way to update your firmware, or just do again the reflashing you did in your phone before. or just choose a different fs,main and custpack.

i tried the SEUS but it said i have the most recent software
1-can i flash with any custpack and FS i find on the web or are there any restriction
2-and if there are restriction how do i know which one can i use
3-how to flash with the custpack that i download

i think there are links there where to download FS main and custpacks.
there are no restrictions in choosing what FS,main or custpacks,
just remember that the FS, main and must be of the same firmware, country and erom color example
FS_APAC_R1KG001_RED
your main must be
MAIN_APAC_R1KG001_RED
(you can check your er0m color through XS++, the erom color of your phone should be the same of FS and main files you will flash on your phone, the country-APAC,CHINA, etc. depends on where you live or just use the GENERIC ones to be safe, choose the most up to date firmware version, choosing an older firmware than your current firmware may damage your phone)
*in short all should be matched

and about the custpacks you'll choose-it must be compatible to the fs and main files you download.
example you chose:
FS_APAC_R1KG001_RED
MAIN_APAC_R1KG001_RED
youn should choose custpacks for R1KG001 APAC

try choosing "continue anyway" in SEUS when it says that your phone is up to date before you reflash your phone and see if it solves your problem

K800_R1JG001_FS_EUROPE_1_RED52.rar
are these the latest versions?

i didnt see the option to choose your own custpack like the ones for FS and MAIN
how do i set xs++ to flash the fone with the custpack that i downlaod?

it must be the same firmware
the latest firmware is r8****
I FORGOT BUT SECOND TO THE LATEST IS
R1kG001
AND UNRAR the files before you flash your phone
the file extensions must be .mbn and .fbn
not .rar
i told you that it must be the same look at the files you download
K800_R1GB001_MAIN_GENERIC_RED49.rar
K800_R1JG001_FS_EUROPE_1_RED52.rar
it must be both R1GB001 or both R1JG001
download
K800_R1KG001_Main_Generic
K800_R1KG001_FS_generic or europe if you prefer
