> Menu Error in SE K550im

Hi,
I have a Sony Ericsson K550im. Recently, after transferring some video files onto the phone, when I disconnected from the computer I got the following error message:
"Errors occur in the menu.ml file. This may render the menu unusable."
And only the first four menu items appeared on screen.
Then I used the Sony Ericsson Update Service to update the phone. After that process completed successfully, I now get a new error message:
"Configuration error. Please contact your network operator or service centre."
I'm not able to view the menu at all. I appear to still be able to make calls, receive texts, play music and anything else that can be done by bypassing the menu.
I contacted Sony Ericsson who said that I should send the phone to their authorised repair centre for repair, but I'd rather not do that if I don't have to. I may be entirely wrong here, but I suspected that if I just refresh the firmware on the phone, the menu file might function properly again. Is this possible? If so, where would I download the original firmware/menu file and how would I go about uploading it to the phone?
Could anyone give me any pointers?
