I know some networks are offering this on higher plans already,
But will there ever be a time when the networks will let you have it as standard with a whatever price plan.

who wants to be paying £25 a month + £7.50..
this should be included if your paying for a 18 month contract..

let the buggers on Pre-Pay pay that not the PostPay customers I say!

I hope eventually it will happen,
as it's been on topic already Data charges are on the watch by officials so hopefully the networks may off this eventually fingers very crossed!!!!!

it obviously cost the networks money for data, so they charge us for it as well. 7.50 for 'unlimited data' is great if you ask me. alot of countrys you pay alot more then that for unlimited. if i remember rightly we are one of the cheapest countrys for data (bundles at least)

you get it for free on £35+ a month on o2 which is pretty good.

yeah lostprophet is right. O2 is already giving Unlimited Data as part of the tariff on an 18 month contract foc. If you don't want unlimited data you can change it to whatver unlimited option is available.

Wonder when the rest of the networks in the UK will be offering unlimited data as part of the priceplan apart from O2.

To clarify though - is there still a fair usage policy attached?

How can you say let the pay as you go customers pay for their data and contract customers should not. Why is it pay as you go customers always get treated as second class customers. Think back ten years and remember if it was not for the explosion of the pay as you go customers mobile networks would not have the amount of customers they have now. There is more pay as you go customers than contract and i as one spend alot and the networks make a fortune out of us with high call charges. O2 are best value.

yer O2 have scrapped there fair usage policy for the time being, pretty sure that wont last long, no with people like me i was downloading torrents through wi-fi on my N93i so you give me completely unlimited plan hey hey

Pay and go seems to get treated second class because most people seem to think oh your on pay and go because you cant get a contract, which is more than likely not the case, most of my mates dont wanna get a contract and be tied down, my sister thought she was getting a great deal till i explained that she had signed a contract for 24 months,

I think the way things are going we will have wifi hotspots all over soon (hope anyway) and then we will not need the unlimited plans as we will have wifi, fingers crossed.

Im just saying it would be nice if the networks would offer unlimited data to lower plans included in there line rental,

I mean I used to pay £20 a month for Unlimited Text and Unlimited wap with 100 mins on BT Genie (02)..

it would be great if we had this back,
I really think PAYG offers to much you have free mins, texts and what have we, there used to be a time where that got less and contract was better!

nowadays it seem PAYG is better and contracts a trap!
however I hate toppin' up so no chance of me going back in time

Actually Miss UK you are right. On O2 pre pay i get 500 free mins per month for just ten quid though it is only from my postcode area. Also get O2 treats which can be more free mins texts or money off other things plus 10% of top ups back every 3 months which is not bad at all. Also calls go as low as 5p per min. I think the networks are trying to offer incentives for customers to spend more. But Contracts you do get free phone unlimited texts or calls plus the best handsets but no data included. Tut.
