Hi,

I tried using my k850 as a music player but the volume (using the included earphones) was simply too low. I was hoping to replace my Ipod with it, but at this rate I don't think it is good enough.

Did anyone manage to get the volume higher, using a different set of earphones maybe?

I'll appreciate comments...

You can't, because it wont remember manual equalizer settings =/

Just wait for the upcoming firmware...it will solve your problem...
At anytime the quality of K850 in music is better than ipod!

I agree that the quality *may be better than Ipod, however with the volume so low I can hardly enjoy the music, you need I need some volume to push me while I am jogging

I don't think the purpose of equalizers is raising the volume, if I use that then I will be stuck with always using "flat" equalizer settings?

I hope the firmware would do something about the volume, though I doubt it.

I was hoping that maybe other headsets produced higher volumes

What's the deal with these guys

http://www.memoryking.co.uk/a[....]y_of_copy_of_copy_of_Sony.html

They are selling HBH-DS980 cheaper than HBH-DS970, are they for real?

I am thinking of buying these headsets, desperate for an input from someone who has tried them on a k850, what's the music like?

Apply Peter's Acoustics.

Search for peter's acoustics in Esato and go to the link at 4shared and download the hifi version. Apply the acoustics using XS++ and get drowned in an atmosphere better than what iPod provides.

I have tested it. Really awesome music quality.

Dont forget to manually set up the eqilizer with DRC on.
