So I followed this guide:
http://sonyericssonblog.wordp[....]our-a200-mobile-phone-via-usb/

and setup my phone so that it accessed the computer's internet. How did I verify this? Well I connected the phone, then shared the connection with my home computer, then updated an RSS feed whilst having the connection monitor open. I watched the packets being received.
Great I thought; it isn't using 3's GPRS internet. It couldn't be, because I couldn't even access Planet 3 or any of the standard 3 sites whilst I was connected, because these sites can only be accessed via the GPRS connection.

BUT THEN
I disconnect and check my data usage on the phone, nothing has changed according to the handset. But when I go to check my balance on Three the bastards have charged me!

Someone please explain.
As a sidenote, I spoke to 3 tech support and they explained to me that it was impossible to use your home computer's internet connection through the phone in any way, USB or BT. Well that is clearly bullshit because all you guys are doing it.

Help please because this is driving me crazy.

EDIT: Apparently this only happens because it is USB and if I try it via Bluetooth I won't get fckd by 3?

3's support is useless. I wrote that guide, and it's possible to use the PC's internet connection on A200 phones (like a K850, W910, etc.).

You must follow the guide carefully though.
