I've had the k810i for a few weeks and 3 or 4 times, I have been typing either an sms or writing an e-mail on gmail java when suddenly i get the white screen of death. I had this problem repeatedly with my k750i when looking through my photos. It became a regular problem. Am I going to expect this to happen all the time now with my new k810i? It's pretty disappointing.

Rest Assure your phones hardware is OK.
Two options is what you have:-
1. Flash the phones firmware manually. Download the required files. You will require MAIN GENERIC + FILE SYSTEM (FS) + CUSTPACK. DONT try to flash without any of these. Download the from topsony or 4shared. You will require either XS++ or SE TOOL LITE to flash. Look for tutorials on ESATO or sense.com , if you are a newbie. You can also use SEUS (SONY ERICSSON UPDATE SERVICE) from sony ericsson's website.
Whatever you do make sure you have 100% battery before flashing. Otherwise EROM can be damaged. If that happens......blurrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
2. Simply give the phone to the customer care persons and ask them to update the phones software. Also tell them the problems you face.
