I updated the firmware on my K800i and now the flash dont work on the camera, any ideas why, thanks for your help.

i have the flash set to auto, and the main camera setting set to auto. Everything worked fine before i upgraded my firmware and now the flash just wont work, my firmware is R1KG001, is there anyway i can use an ealrier firmware or flash a custom camera driver. thnaks for your help.

which part in the service menu i have gone into service tests and theres an option to test camera but no option to test the flash.

Under the service menu the option to test the flash is called 'Discharge flash' which I believe is as the very top of the list in the service tests. If you select this and the flash does work it proves it is not a hardware problem.

Also just check again that the flash is set to auto, and you are not in any scene modes just to make sure it is not a camera setting which is stopping the flash.
