k850's is still too expensive here in our area so am asking if its firmware is compatible w/ a k800 since they are a K series? is it possible?

I think it's impossible, when you look at the hardware changes that K850 had undergone over the K800 i.e. display, softkeys, touchpad, accelerometer, camera, videolight and HSDPA/EDGE reciever, M2/micro-SD slot. it's very impossible to integrate K850's software to K800 imo. just imagine the W810 and W800. W810 has only a slightly larger display and different softkey layout and the Quadband/EDGE antenna. yet nobody has dared or even successed flashing the latter into the former

It's not possible since the K850 uses a new hardware platform (EMP U360) compared the the K800 (EMP 2--something iirc).
