I have a problem to use my IR port to upload images/pictures from my laptop (WinXp) to my T68i.
My IR port sees the T68i, but the tool to upload the image from laptop to T68i via IR does not see the phone. I downloaded the ImageMaker from the SE-website. I also installed the modemdriver from the same website, but still my WinXp wont't see the phone.
Does anyone have an idea what i'm doing wrong, or what i still have to do??

Troubleshoot:
(1) is the IR port enabled in both the PC and the Cellphone?
(2) Are the IR Services running? (IrFTP, IrMon)
(3) Have you installed the Virtual Com port?
(4) XP has an internal "send files to wireless recipent" is it on?
(5) Are the T68 Drivers installed correctly?
(6) If you could send me more specs and/or description of the system and/or problem. is it just with the images or also with the GPRS? (BTW: mind you - iR works best on 98 and not on XP, learned it by the flesh, still use XP)

I have a T68i and a laptop with IR too also winXP.
I have installed the software with the link from this site.
Now XTNDConnect is installed and I have the Phone Manager.
But hte Phone Manager may not use the (virtual) COM port of the IR eye.
I get this error message if I try to enable the COM port in the phone manager:
"
Port Conflict

! This operating system supports IrSockets for infrared communication. All IrComm ports will therefor be disabled.
"

I have no clue on how to solve this problem.

I have enabled both IR ports on both the computer and the phone.
The laptop does see the phone, but cannot send anything. Also not with the microsoft file tranfer "something" for Wireless devices. And the phone cannot send a Vcard to the computer either. The phone tells me that there is no device in range (although the IR eye are almost lying against eachother) but the laptop tells me that the T68i is in range.

Hi!
I managed to connect my T68I with Windows XP by running the extended system app in Windows 98 compatibility mode... Although it didn't work with that specific mode, when I put it back to normal, it worked like a charm (previously I had to stop processes in the task manager to free the irda port)..
Doesn't seem to rely on anything I can explain but it works...

Sincerely.

Harold.

Thanks to all that make Esato exist! It's great!
