When I type the text, the suggested word is submitted. How can I take the suggested word or decline the suggested word? Thanks!

To Accept the suggested word press the OK button, to decline press the back button or continue Typing. Hope this solves your problem. happy Texting

yep - or you can press the * or # buttons to select other words. if your using handwriting recognition then do a back-slash top to bottem to select the word.

Awesome, that's some useful key combinations. I'd already accidentally found out what the left and right arrow buttons do.
I must say though that I'm so used to the QWERTY keyboard now, that I hardly ever use the predictive text suggestions. I find it just as quick to carry on typing, instead of moving my thumb down to the back button.
