Finally got a hold of an S710a (N. American version of the S700i). I had it reflashed to the last FW, which also reset the phone. Of course, the original applications and games are gone, except for Converter and a Tennis game.

I know the phone comes with more than that preinstalled. Where is it, and how do I get it? In the US at least, has pulled 99% of this content from its "Fun 'n' Downloads" site

Did your phone have operator firmware?
If you have flashed it with generic firmware. it will install default SE games , if you need the ones that you had with your operator you need to flash it back with operator's firmware.

My K790a has generic FW, and I managed to get back such apps as Photo Mate.

Also, there was no generic FW for the S710a. It was reflashed from Cingular (US exclusive carrier) to Rogers (Canadian exclusive carrier) FW, since the Rogers one is less "branded" and a later version (it's less sluggish and more stable).

So I guess the questions are (1) what apps and games come with the S700i/S710a, and (2) do they exist somewhere as JAD+JAR files for manual installation?

Also, where can I find such apps as World Clock? Again, the USA "Fun 'n' Downloads" page seems to have been stripped of a lot of its content.

What applications and games do you want? Maybe I can help you find them.

I have World Clock (240x320) for example.

That's just it, I don't recall what came preinstalled on this phone... I purchased a refurbished unit, and immediately had it reflashed. If anyone has (or remembers) an S700i or S710a, that would help.

I recall World Clock being one app. I believe there was also a Mini Golf game with for multiple players.

I have found some review of this unit and there are mentioned these games and applications:

Games: Darts (from Sony Ericsson), Tennis (from Sony Ericsson) and some snowboarding game
Applications: Converter, World Clock

Why don't you check what's available for the S700i/S710a at SE's Fun & Downloads site? I had the same problem when I did a hard reset on my old K750i. I lost all the preinstalled apps and ringtones. But most, if not all, should be available at Fun & Downloads.

Read one of my posts further up - has stripped their site down to almost nothing, at least for "older" phones. (Heck, I can't hardly find any K790a content there.)

Anyway, a friend of mine has a completely unmodified Cingular S710a. I'm waiting for him to look in his phone and get back to me. In terms of apps, I think I'm only missing the World Clock. For games, Tennis is embedded in the FW, and I did find (and pass on) Darts at the site. No idea about snowboarding though.
