Hi!
I have a P990 and recently the jog wheel has been malfunctioning... when I press it, it gets stuck and I have to hit something with the phone for it to get to the outer position. Has anyone experienced this? Shoul I try to open the phone and fix it or is this innevitable (due to phone use and age...) ?
Thx in advance

I'll try that. I think it's still in warranty period, so there mustn't be a problem. A new phone would be nice

Hello
the JOG Wheel is a weak point of the P990. If had the same think, and after a while, it was completly broken. You cannot repair it by yourself (unless your are a real professional). So try to let it be fixed during warranty !

My old M600 also broke once. First it went unresponsive for about 6 months and then when i click it, it just broke. Because the phone is still under warranty, I sent it to the nearest service center and they replacedit. The jog dial have a bad quality (even a mouse scroll wheel is better). Now I use a P1 and although it have diferrent jog dial, I never click it due to fear of breaking it again

Thx for all your help!
I'm really going to take the phone to Vodafone, when I have some time. It's too bad the jog is so weak,I really liked to use it,it's very usefull in one hand operations...
About M600: isn't its jog like the P1's?

I think it' different. M600 and P990 jog dials are the same. They‘re made from grey plastic while P1‘s are made from black plastic. P1‘s jog dial also positioned less protruding than M600‘s, hence it lacks the ‘hump‘ on the case.

I have one of our M600's in work and the jogwheel on that is goosed. It scrolls up ok but when you scroll down it jumps up and down.
I've stripped the phone and cleaned the jogwheel and it got marginally better but still too erratic to use!
Suffice to say, I tend to avoid using the wheel whenever possible.

I see the jog wheel problem is going to stay with this phone forever... better fix it during warranty period and forget it... It's starting to bother me. Today my phone started ringing in my pocket and when I took it out it had already accepet the call. W
