im sorry but dont think there is a free way. i would advice u to get an unlimited data plan....

I haven't used Google Maps so I don't know exactly how that works...

But in general you can use the USB cable with the K850i and a shared internet connection in your computer together with the setting called "Allow Local Conn." under "Internet Settings".

This way you don't pay at all while using the internet browser or other applications in the phone because it is using the computer's internet connection rather than gprs/3g.
