Our Service provider is ETISALAT and my GPRS is Unavailable. Do I need to make the GPRS available to access the Internet through WLAN or USB

I had the same problem first. I think the problem was that the homepage was a wap page, which couldnt be opened thru wlan. Try opening another webpage.

False! I can open any page with my WLAN. It's a settings problem. Double check it.

Thanks for the information. I have read your post and will try when I go to my friends house where the wireless modem is available. I am having only wired modem at my home.

One more thing, When I called ETISALAT they told that the GPRS facility is not available on my phone hence I am not able to connect to the internet thru WAP. They will be charging 25 Dhs per month for that. Is your sim GPRS enabled? Please let me know.

Otherwise have a look at the IP adress. At one point i had 3G enabled accidently, so the phone gave me a 3G ip adress.

i have ETISALAT Sim and GPRS & 3G works fine on my phone (SE P1i its same as your W960 hardware and software).

You can get your settings by dialing *122# from your phone download all the settings, and save it.

If u need more instructions on downloading settings, let me know.

My Friend is also having W960i and he is using du sim & He is able to access Internet through WLAN. Self is also in process of changing the sim to du. Will surely let you all know when i change the sim and access the internet freely. I hope ETISALAT is charging you a certain amount per month for using the GPRS.

Anyways thank you all for the information you gave and will come back to you if I need any more information.

Thanks again.

I am facing the same problem.

From this thread http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=163069#post2229723 I think it has something to do with my router settings? I am still trying to resolve this. Any advice?
