> New Contract Dilemma
Bookmark topic
Hi All,
First time poster, long time lurker, so too speak.
As of mid March, my contract with orange will be into the last 3 months. So, now’s the time to start looking for a new phone and the threats of leaving to get a good upgrade.
Million £ question is which phone? The W960i, the Xperia or after 4 SE’s in row (plus a 6680 for good measure), do I look at either the N95-8gb or the F700? Its probably the worst time to upgrade, there seems to be a lull in the market of decent phones and all the good ones aren’t due until the summer.
Requirements?
Has to have a big screen, good internet (the office bar all the good sites), ability to run tomtom mobile would be nice, touch screen is probably a gimmick I don't really have to have and either large internal or expandable memory.
Cheers for the advice.

Welcome new postie! First of all, the trick to upgrading is not to start looking to early-wait till about a week before it's due, then start your huntin expo! Why? Because sods law says you'll find a phone you want right now but can't have and it'll drive you nuts! Good place to start lookin and get reviews would be www.gsmarena.com. Me :o)

Its looking that way, Miss Uk.
I'm so impatient when it comes to phones, i doubt i could wait the full 18 months (june) when there may be new releases to consider.

I agree saying that at the moment there is no phone out there that really grabs me as my perfect phone. Everything is too buggy too expensive or the lower priced to mid range are pants. Also most phones at the moment have poor designs.

I don't think the N85 8GB (which would be my choice) is coming to Orange anytime soon - I think the two companies are still at loggerheads.
However, the best smartphone to come to Orange for ages (and its exclusive to Orange) is the Samsung i780.
Its currently showing in the business section of the Orange website. But its about to come to the consumer section (some have already received it by ordering over the phone). Its definitely worth checking out.

@ Wuz,
Makes you wonder what's going on, No W960i yet either.
I've still been searching for N96 stuff and May seems to be the date one site has, so i may well wait for that and compare it to the X1. Curse another 4 months with this K800i.
