I just received a new W910i due to problems with my old one and I g=have set it all up but my G for the gprs or E for Edge as it was somtimes has disappeared it used to be there all the time even when i was not even browseing the Web.
I have got it set to GPRS & GSM but still no joy....

By the sounds of it, if you've got H its picked up HSDPA, therefore you wouldn't need G for GPRS or E for EDGE. It'll always pick the strongest if you've got "GSM and UMTS" selected.
In order, it goes G for GPRS, E for EDGE, 3G for UMTS and H for HSDPA (on SE's, I think 3G is actually three little wave shapes in a white box).

3G just comes up with 3G where the H normally is as i found out last weekend when driving home from Rushmere in Ipswich as it was the 1st time i have seen 3G displayed.
I understand what your sayin in regards to the g not being there if I have H showing but the one W 910i I just handed back had the H displayed and a G or E at the same time.
Thinking about it maybe i didn't ???
Thanks for the reply.
Darren

Bit odd then, dunno in that case. Perhaps newer software negates the need for both to be on at the same time. After all, what would be the point?
And Ipswich? wooo, someone from Esato has been in my town!

Back to the topic
I just checked with a mates w910i with the same FW and his shows the G/E when the H symbol is showing.
The G/E is always above the signal strength bar we are both on o2 contract using the same internet settings.
Anyone think there is a problem with the phone? Or.......
