Well?

What makes it that bit more sweet is that price of one is normally double what you would expect to pay.

This happened to me earlier tonight, however the excitement was overshadowed by the fact i knew I was going to get two.

No mater how little the horizontal spiral twisted it was dead certain I would get two.

What i love about this normally is the tension, will I? won't I? I love the shear joy on people's faces when they walk away from the machine with a sense of achievement, even though perhaps in some instances they will have bought an item which the did not plan to, one which they don't even like. Additionally, some may take even more from the whole scenario in knowing that the next poor sole coming along after them may well get nothing.

But still, you can't beat a good bit of vending machine theft.

PS: I bought a milky way, and the reason I got two was not because some poor sole had bought one before me only to find it had not fallen to the bottom, violent shaking in this case would not have solved the problem, it was more due to the fact that the two chocolate bars were touching each other, they may have well been in the same collumn.

on a similar note, have you ever had to buy 2 chocolate bars to get the one you wanted?

some sly bus station staff know that " boosts" will outsell every other chocolate bar, so they go an stick them in the column second from the front, meaning you have to buy a snickers and a boost just to get a boost!

Clever, but flipping cheeky!

even better, some machines allow you to choose again if one doesn't fall. so you can sometimes end up with three

ahh violent shaking.. this takes me back to school.....

they ended up full on bolting and concreting the machines in...

salt and vinegar crunchy fries were the easiest to get out by far....

/doesn't condone stealing from vending machines, just the occasional long term borrow.

the worst are the drinks "vendies" that drop the bottle to the bottom, then raise a ramp on the left hand side so it slides to the exit on the right. It's a stupid design, very much overcomplicated I would say.

My friend bought a bottle of coke in one of these machines, it fell to the bottom alright, and the ramp raised, but it jammed at the exit, the ramp went back down and his drink was sitting at the bottom!.

He thought that if he ordered another one, they would both slide out...

They didnt.

instead the second bottle fell the to the bottom as it should, but it seemed the increased weight on the ramp meant that the little motor could not cope, a brief pause/struggle where the machine moved very slightly and then the machine assume all was okay and waited for next customer.

Yep those drink machines are everywhere at my university. Worst I've seen is about 10 bottles sitting at the bottom from people who thought they'd hit the jackpot...

We used to have a vending machine at work and it was so funny to hear the machine being kicked and rocked and then the culprit walking out red in the face with the effort. Rumours were flying that one such culprit didn't even put money in!!

meh vending machines suck at my school. This robotic arm collects your drink instead of the machine dropping it which is cool n'all but it takes like a minute just to get a drink,
