Ok i'm lost as lost can be lol,

I blew my PC sub the other week, the amp and 2 satalites still work fine, but the sub is 100% dead.

Getting it repaired looks to be hard/expensive, like..£60+ at the moment, what I need help with, is for the price, maybe I can buy a new/better sub?

I've been told I need a non-active sub because I already have an external amp, though I can't really seem to find any non-active subs.

Any help is appreciated, I don't want to get ripped of at my local store lol.

the speaker set is: Videologic Sirocco, and the only thing that doesn't work is the Sub, any links as to what sub I could buy to replace

Thanks

Ah I thought so, I read around and I wasn't 100% sure though.

I'm looking at maybe cutting my losses and buying these:

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/74747#

They seem good, 55 reviews and the 1st 10 I read all say they sound amazing, mine I think have an output of 100W, these have 120W so should be just as good/better.

If it's going to cost me about £60 to repair, is it worth repairing my current sub, or paying £20 more and getting a whole new system?

Thanks

what's wrong with the sub?

I've not looked at the links, but is it a 7.1 channel system you have?

That's what I have m8

The 2 satalites each have 4 wires coming out of them and go into the back of the amp (so 8 wires total)

The sub then has 2 wires + and - and goes into the back of the amp.

Hmm looking at the prices m8, I'm wondering if i'd be better off going for a whole new system?

Their active subs there start at £70, for a new logitech 200W system is about £85.

Just seems a shame to bin 2 satalites and an amp when they work fine, don't know if they're worth selling to fund my new system or if they're worthless what do you think m8.

Thanks
