I have tried the search

but its not helped!
Is anyone actually using the HGE-100 with TomTom on either a P1 or a W960?
If so what effect is it having on your battery life?
How good is the connection in town conditions?
Is it worth the money?

i'm not 100% percent but i think the two are incompatible, something to do with aGPS or it being only for when on foot and because it isn't bluetooth. The accessory actually gets some bad reviews, you can get a bluetooth GPS reciever for less than £30 on ebay.
Maybe someone else will clear things up sorry.

Hi adox 2525
I already have a separate GPS unit and its great. But liked the idea of one device for when I am out of the car walking about in a new city, my job requires me to travel quite a lot and it helps save time when I am somewhere I have not been before. I saw the reviews and that is what prompted me to enquire on ESATO thanks for taking the time to reply.

To my understanding it is incompatible with tomtom but does come with a free trial of wayfinder a ""similar"" java ONLY program and 2 other programs one to calculate calories burned etc and the other is a tracker, so i think it is more aimed at people who want to know what they have done rather than where they should go, if you know what i mean.
Also it works with dumb phones (check SE website) which further backs up my point you understand.
However again i hope someone else will post to clear things up.

The current version of TomTom for UIQ3 doesn't have an option to find built-in GPS, only Bluetooth devices, so it won't work with the SE pop-port stuff.
