..Apart from a few stability fixes, improved speed (specially on the context- shifts. There's no couple of seconds wait when opening the web- application now) - the "icon bug" from over a year back was fixed. So if you switch mem- cards, or plug in the usb- cable, your apps will show up in the right places in the menu afterwards (where they were before). A bug with the messenger app when writing longer messages and using the arrows to scroll was fixed (it would hang, and you would lose the message, if it became over a certain length and you pressed the arrow- key. Really fricking funny bug).
I'm convinced something was done with the java- machine, in addition to the possibly useful new message that pops up and asks you if you want to close the program - if you hold the back- button in java- apps. Also, the sound- sync in general is better than before, as well as the overall flow in video and so on (it's noticeable on bitrates that were slightly off before) but that could just be a side- effect from tweaking away some other problems.
Still not fixed - the annoying flickering lists in the messenger- app. The remaining problems with the checkboxes in various views throughout the entire application suite. (Go sign on your favourite bugs on the wiki, if you'd like). And the contact- app still lags when it's using sorts to filter out sms or email candidates when used together with the messenger- app (although there's less flickering on the screen.. Once again, a curious and functional - but still bad - set of fixes to a problem from SE...). Also, some files in container formats like mkv and mp4 will lag uncontrollably on the inbuilt player, but somehow run well on coreplayer (if anyone can jot down some codecs and so on, reproduce the behaviour, and write an entry in the wiki, that would be nice).
Overall - good. It's like an acceptable first or second release now. No showstopping bugs or problems. It's quick, and it's stable. But, of course, lacks fixes for certain problems that should've been taken care of ages ago (minus the "icon bug" and the installer- package lag - really, I feel like celebrating..).
Opera is version 8.65 ("768"). Minor fixes, much more comfortable to use, renders quicker than before. I've not had the disappearing scrollbars in bookmark view, and any of the strangeness I had before, but difficult to say if something is done with the app, or whether that was just the reflash. It apparently uses the second "dimmed" colour for the themes, in the background for the links now, so might not please everyone.
Still no profiles, independent controls for light in the keyboard and screen, timeout for lock, etc., etc. (Btw, please don't let my ranting stop you from visiting the wiki and noting your interest with the various fixes.
