Hey guys,
last night i tried to update my handset to the latest version, it downloaded the software ok, then during the install process it stopped at 2% and told me update failed. now my phone is dead. wont turn on and if i plug in the charger there is still no life!
i've read in other posts that there is a recovery mode but i'm not given that option.
any ideas what else to try? dont really want to send my handset away!!

same thing happened to me the very first day the new firmware was released. had to send it to the service centre to be fixed.

See if XS++ see the phone, I know it sounds funny but if it does then you may be able to save it via devinciteam. My phone did the same exact thing. And I freaked. But I was able to reflash it for I thknk it was 15 us dollars and it was back up and running.

doesn't that invalidate the warranty of the phone though? i've only had it since december...
my phone can be found via the update service just wont install the software...

Is this a branded phone?If not then you can flash it via davinciteam's site to an earlier or same version then use SEUS to update to the latest. If it is a branded phone then you can still do the above, as they have the branded versions of the firmware also O2 etc.
