> Phone blocked?
Bookmark topic
Hi, i bought a sony phone on ebay a few weeks back. It wasnt new but was unlocked. I recived the phone no problem and put my o2 sim card in and all worked well.
But then this morning my phone was saying invalid sim. A few hours later it changed to no network coverage, there was full signal on the phone bar tho. Ive put a sim from work in there (also o2) and this one displays inactive sim on it.
Has the phone been blocked? Can it be blocked with my sim card in there?
All help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

It's either been blocked by the network due to it being reported as lost/stolen, or it's just simply packed up. If it's a Samsung, they are very, very well known for having software issues where it will simply say something like "no service" and you have to get it repaired to fix it.

It is possible that it has been blocked. The other possibility that I suspect could be that of the sim reader, however the fact that it does not get network coverage makes me think that it was blocked. Did you contact O2. Try putting another sim of another network just to be sure.

If it is some older phone it might have some loose contact problem. As you say, phone was working fine in the beginning with your sim, now it is not working anymore. If the phone is locked on provider then it would say that from the very beginning.
You could try to flash it with seus. After you backup.

I've just spoke to o2, they cant tell me if the phone has been blocked by a network or not all they could say is they havent and my sim is fine.
Is there anyway of finding out what network the phone was on to begin with?
Apparently the phone was bought new in sept 07 so isnt that old.
I havent got a different sim, only my o2 one and the o2 one in the work phone.
