Yes its very good i took mine to Cyprus and its performance i would say was good not great. When my prints came out they were clear except for sometimes the sea and sky would be blurred. Also with shots taken with flash at night are printed out you realise the flash range is not amazing as peoples heads come out bit blurred. I know good photography as i have a top of the range Sony 10 mega pixel camera and whilst my K800i is good its not amazing it has limitations. I would take both cameras. Happy snapping.

You want a guarantee that almost all your snaps turn out great? Then better pick a digicam. A 3 MP camphone may be good for 4x6 prints when shot in good light, but if you expect to shoot in the evening, at night or indoors, or if you would be planning for larger prints then a 3 MP CMOS camera with a tiny lens doesn't go far.

If you need recommendations on digicams then I would mention the Canon Digital IXUS 860 IS. It's 8 MP with optical image stabilization and is also great for shooting video.

As a warning to you DONT GO FOR PENTAX CAMERAS. They are so unreliable its like owning a SonyEricsson LOL. Go for Sony Canon or Panasonic. Nikon are good but their Coolpix are also unreliable. In Digital Camera Buyer Magazine Panasonic were voted the most reliable and also for quality. But obviously its up to yourself. Good luck.

i used my k800i on hoilday twice, first time using stock driver pics were ok but some lacked colour and looked lifeless, some turned out fine, second i used my homemade camdriver my pics turned out really nice the colour was wonderful. check the software section of this forum and try a new driver it's 100x cheaper than buying a digital, plus a mobile phone is alot easyer to carry around than a digital camera.

Definitely get a dedicated cam.

Considering the price of what you can get these days, Im confident you can yourself a decent cam for good casual prints of your holidays experiences.
