I remember hearing that the military use a special broadcast frequency, that is accessible by certain mobile phones, and is available only at certain "hot spots" in the country.

I think it was developed in case of an EMP attack or something.

Anyway, this guy I know was near RAF Northolt recently (UK) and he claims that his jail broken iPhone was able to pick up some rogue signal temporarily.

Has anyone heard of anything like this before?

I think he's fibbing!!

That sounds pretty full on in terms of conspiracy stuff, think ill have a look around! sounds interesting.

Funny you mention the weird signal thing, i know a work college who often works out on the field/away from the office regularly and mentioned spotting a weird signal icon on his phone temporarily, no idea if its related, but v interesting!!!
all sounds very x-files haha
