No,

It is not a 3G/UMTS/WCDMA handset - and the 3 Network runs only on this type of network.

The iPhone will not work on the 3 Network, which is the reason why Apple have not sold it in Japan heavily - as Japan is majority 3G.

yeah, but wehn u have 3 coverage, u dont roam, so at most places u dont have any rec then, cos imo all uk cities have full 3 coverage, maybe on the countryside is the roaming on
