> ITC: Nokia doesn't violate Qualcomm patents

"NEW YORK (AP) -- Wireless technology company Qualcomm said late Wednesday the International Trade Commission has upheld a judge's ruling that Nokia's handsets do not infringe on three of its patents.
Qualcomm, which filed the complaint with the ITC in June 2006, said it was disappointed with the decision. The company added it will decide whether to appeal.
Nokia is "very pleased that the commission has agreed with Judge [Paul J.] Luckern's Initial Determination, has decided not to review this matter any further, and to close this investigation," said spokeswoman Laurie Armstrong in an e-mail. "Qualcomm's strategy of pursuing lawsuits around the world against Nokia continues to be rejected."
