> M600i reflash?
Bookmark topic
Hi
I'm having some troubles with my M600i. I wanted to install this theme(
http://shareeef.deviantart.co[....]nny-Stones-uiq3-theme-76417961 ) on the phone, but after it was installed, i had the phone powered off and it didn't want to boot again, it just gets stuck halfway on the first loading bar under the Sony Ericsson logo.
So i read that i should just update the firmware using the SEUS and the problem would be solved, but when i try to do that it just tells me that there are no updates available because i apparently already have the latest firmware installed on my device.
Can someone help me please, i'm getting pretty depressed about this.
Thanks in advance!
-Daniel

Press 'continue anyway' in SEUS (this button is on screen when it tells you that there are no updates available), it will then reflash your phone with the current fimware - this will reset it to the condition it was in when it left the factory.

Hmm, I can't see no "Continue anyway" option?

I'm so sorry, that's truly weird...
The only things I can suggest are:
a) that you take it to an SE service centre,
b) try taking it to an independant mbile repairer,
or c) assuming that it doesn't have world generic firmware already installed, change the CDA with XS++, and try SEUS again as it should then recognise it as requiring new firmware.

just remember to run the script for M600, not P1....
BTW, I just took a look at that theme in SE's theme editor, it seems it's formated for w960, and when you preview it for the m600, it's missing a texture for the title bar - this is probably what's confusing the system.
How long have you tried leaving it while booting? - there's a chance it might make it eventualy, and use default textures for the ones that are missing.

I tried the XS++ solution but nothing happend with the GW1, is it possible it will work with one of the other M600i scripts?
I have tried leaving the phone on for 30 or so minutes and still nothing happens.. Should i try for longer period?

I think that if it hasn't sorted itself out after 30 mins, it's unlikely to do so...
It's up to you, if you want to try a different script I don't see the harm, as once you get it running, you can then change it back to WG1, make sure you change it to a language you can understand though...you just need to get SEUS to think it needs different firmware from the one it has now, so I'd look at the wiki page, and hopefuly one of the scripts will relate to a CDA with a different software version.

Hmm, no matter what script i run it's always the same in SEUS, "No update available"
But there are only 3 different scripts for M600i in XS++

Well then I'm out of suggestions apart from this: you could always contact gbrooks3(one of the authors of XS++) via his avatar here:

He may be able to send you a custom script or something.....
Also you can check this sofrware out as it allows you to chabge your CDA to whatever you want, ie one on the wiki list with a different version, as I say once you get it up and tunning you can go back to WG1 with XS. The only thing with these guys is that they charge per use:
