HI People

April 9th is my upgrade date. So its coming up to that time of year, in thinking what phone to get.

Current phone is my trusty N73 black media edition phone. Which I love and has never failed me. I have an option of getting the N95 8GIG edition handset. Even though I have a play about with the handset. I think its amazing. But it is a bit on the bulky size though I must admit.

Ok what do i look for a phone?

In the phone, it should be looking good, not too heavy, it should not have a keypad like the N82. I don't like samsungs, or moto. So its either stick with Nokia or go get a s.e.

But the handset has to be mac compatible, since I am a mac fan and have a mac and they are the best things since slice bread hehe.

Ok back to the topic. I am used to a 3mega pixel camera with autofocus. Yes 5mega pixel would be nice. But not a must. 3G yes, and good quality video playback and recording yes.

Wifi in a handset? Its a nice feature, but I think I can live without it, but it would be nice to have.

The phone has to look good, and stable software, fast menus, and lots of space for texting, as well an an option to make a folder to hold texts. Like sweet texts etc, named folders.

Battery life should be good. I am not a fan of sliders. I do like to listen to music on my phone, so should have good memory, with memory card slot in it too. Must be fast internet access enabled.

The phone should look good, and not a boring design. It should have an option to install 3rd party applications too. an option to have gps and sat nav would be nice too.

touch screen i am not too bothered about. Kinda torn between N95 8 GIG or K850i. However K850i is becoming an old phone now. But like to see what other people suggest.

If i think of anything else I want in a phone, i will add to this post.

Thanks a lot everyone in advance

Miyagi

well when i want a phone it has to be special, its like getting a new car, apart from not having to get rid of it after 12/18 months. So i need to make a good choice here. N being a massive nokia fan, i am considering s.e too. so many decisions :S

and oh yeah the "c" series will probably be out after april though, in summer, dont want to wait that long rather get new phone soon as to be honest.

The W760 has a pretty unique design and covers most of your requirements.. and it's going to be released soon.
The W890 is another candidate, I reckon.

If you can afford a N95 i really don't see any reason for you to get any other phone. If you just wanna try them out for the heck of it is different, but N95 8GB is a 'no nonsense everything you want in a phone' phone.
With any SE K, C, W or whatever you will loose something, not so with the N95.

i understand what you mean qvga but is the slider problem finally fixed on the new N95, since it had problems on the older one, and der have been some reports the current n95 8gig does freeze a lot, don't know if that is still around. or if thats been fixed by software updates???

i saw the w890 but it does not have autofocus thats the drawback with that phone.
