So I bought the S500i and I'm looking to maybe flash it with the W580i firmware, but first I would like to know if it's possible for either phone to prevent the screen from turning off after 30 seconds of inactivity.
When I slide the phone closed the screen dims, however it still stays on allowing me to see all of my messages and alerts and such. Is it possible to prevent this from happening and have the screen always dimmed when the phone is closed rather than the display turning off?

theres prob a patch for it.. but as i am relitively new on the scene i couldnt tell you..

Well at the very least it would be nice to extend the timer so that the screen isn't constantly shutting off when I'm still using the phone.
