This problem started 3-4 days ago. While talking with someone i just get disconnected and the person I'm talking to hears a very disturbing noise in the headset, although I don't hear anything. I just get disconnected. The noise is like a short-circuit noise or like a bad radio. I don't know if the problem is from my phone ( I reinstalled the firmware a few weeks ago and since then I never had any problem at all).. it just began all of a sudden. I talked to my operator's customer service and they said that probably it's because of the SIM card (it's very old, sometimes when I get it off my phone and then reinsert it it says 'insert sim' - it's 6 years old). I didn't bother to contact de SE customer support coz they always have the same idiotic answer "please reinstall firmware". So what do you think? It's very annoying to get disconnected ALL the time.

Hmmm sounds like a sim thing to me - is your provider going to send you a new one? They should do this for free, as it is in their interests to keep you online....

Actually if you are on Vodafone Romania, it's the network. They are doing some upgrades on 3G. It happened to me all day long yesterday, and only once today so it might mean they are wrapping up.

I am using Vodafone Romania, and I presumed at first that this is a 3g problem. A friend had some similar issues some weeks ago and he just turned off the 3g on his E61, but I need the 3g connection. This gets very annoying coz it happens all the time, every call i make/receive. WTF?!
They said I'll get a new SIM for free, yes..
