the choice was made: they will work on a new complete messaging app (sms, email, mms, etc), to be much faster than the current one

a profile manager is the most reqd app.......and hopefully a call recorder will be there too...

however teknolog has made his choice....

"The most wanted program is definitely an entirely new messenger, and I agree. The new messenger should be fast, do SMS, IMAP, POP and possibly Exchange at some point (I believe the EU finally managed to get some documentation out of Microsoft).

Stay tuned. I will announce something within short Smile

Teknolog"

I really think there is much more sense for any developer to add a much requested feature that is not already available, than to just provide an improvement/replacement for an existing feature

I don't agree, messaging in its current form is hardly usable due to its slowliness. If you write two smses a day it may be fine, but it is not acceptable for serious texting. Having profiles would be nice, I agree, but honestly I dont really need them. For me ability to put a phone in silent mode is really enough. It all depends on the user.
Since we cannot count on SE to make messaging work as it should I think it's fantastic that somebody else is willing to do that

kurt karun...most people refered to messaging related apps, not profiles...i personaly could not care less about profiles

masseur, it all depends on what is included in the app, besides being faster than the SEīs...for instance, if they include schedulling for sms, threaded sms, etc on the messaging app...thatīs really new stuff, not just an improvement
