I have notice manywhere (mind my eng)
" Modifications to my beloved K800i". Firmware upgrade. Peter's Acoustics.
This That blurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Well some intellectual guys have also been able to change the phone name that is shown in Phone Status.
From K790i to say P1i
How can I do that?
Any link to any file.............plz.............
Searched the whole web. Donno how he did that.
You think you know.
Please post.

Yes I have done that.
I'll tell you exactly what I have done.
First I extracted the contents of K790_CDA102568_110_R5A_Generic_S_ASIA_LEVAN which is the reqd custpack for my phone.
Then I opened customize.xml with notepad and changed the line
HB1-06 Gen
to
K810i
and then added the file to the original custpack using WinRAR.
Then I completely flashed the phone using SETOOL LITE
Unfortunately it didnt work.
It seems you are the only one here who can helpme.
