I have just purchased a P1i to replave my previous SE 800 mobile & Compaq Ipaq Pocket PC Organiser.
It has synced nicely with Outlook, and I have loaded music files but despite what the manual says I cant get the media player to play either MPEGs or WMV videos, help !!
Is there someway I need to convert files or is there a better/different media player that I can download ?
thanks.....

There are different types and baselines of MPEG and WMV. Best bet is to use something like Makayama or M3 to encode your videos to H263 3GP/MP4 which should play fine.
You can play H264 aswell but you will need to use Coreplayer.

In Google, search for Super video converter.
This will convert all your videos into MP4 or 3GP, with great results.

It's actually worth the money now (that the file- association thing and the backlight is fixed), and it's a bit faster and more efficient than the in- built video- player on some formats. Where the in-built player croaks because of a container- format (bad buffering routines), coreplayer works fine, for example.
It doesn't lag unless you up the resolution and bitrate on the movie- clip, and so on. Because of the scaling - and that's the same for all the players..
