Hi after changing my CDA to WG1 and updating to the latest firmware - I keep finding that some trial applications keep trying to reload themselves everytime I disconnect from the base station USB connection - very confusing!
I know it's not from the PC because I have just built a new machine and installed evrything fresh.
Is there somewhere the programmes reside that I am not finding?
Cheers

try formatting your memory stick

Or deleting the files in \private\10202dce
on the mem- stick (connect with the cable) would work.
(The folder really is the resource- dir for a program that starts automatically, and is triggered every time the mem- stick is mounted. On reboot, after using a usb- cable and reinsert of mem- stick.)

Vista tells me
Presumably I should not let Vista do the 'fixing'

I don't have 'privatedce' but do have a folder 'private'
I do have links to the offending programmes in...
private/10003a3f/import/apps/NonNative/Resource - such as 'BestConverter_reg.rSC'
Will just deleting these sorts of files do the job?

Aha - caught me mid edit
I do have private/10202dce - but amongst other files it contains my TomTom... sis file - will it cause any problems with software currently installed and running OK?
Many thanks

Damned bbcode..
Yeah.. that's true. Maybe it will remove the program from the tools- menu, and possibly from the uninstall.. Didn't think of that. Er.. let me check..

No, it doesn't have an impact on the game or program on the phone. For the programs that do support it, it won't be possible to install them when putting in the memory- card - but that is all. And not all programs use it anyway.. So there's no real problem with just wiping the dir.
..But you could pick out just the files that don't have a directory in the private folder with the same name. I think that would work all right.

Thanks - I ended up moving them 1 at a time to the desktop and then checking if the install was still operational
Got all 3 deleted now
