> An O2 iPhone question
Bookmark topic
I am planning on ending my Vodafone contract next month and moving to O2 to get an iPhone.
Since the iPhone SDK was released my company are keen to start developing iPhone apps so they have offered to buy my iPhone for me.
My question is this:
If I went into an O2 store and started a new 18 month contract with a free phone can I then go straight into the Apple store and buy my iPhone and put it on the contract I had just started? Essentially getting a new phone for free as well as getting an iPhone.
Can I do this or will I be tied to the original contract?

You can't buy the iPhone as a handset only option from Apple, so if you want one, you have to get it on an O2 contract.
You can find people selling their iPhones (such as here on Esato) but personally I'd rather have the security of knowing it came from O2.

I am planning on getting an iPhone with O2, I just want to know if I can upgrade my brand new account with O2 for the iPhone

Ah, I see what you're saying. It's possible, but I don't know for sure. You're best to check with O2.
