just wondering while cleaning the phone a few days ago, does this teeny tiny camera works like a real digital camera that's built on the phone's back? or does the front camera only functions when you're doing video calls? if it can take pics how do you access it? I can't find a function that turn the front camera on beside going to video call.
my reason for asking is because my husband's N95 front camera can take pics. thanks for reading folks!

you can access in 2 ways:
1. when you're under Contacts, choose Options> make Video Call
2. Go to Menu, Organizer, Video Call

I get what you mean. You want to actually TAKE PICTURES (like autoportraits) with the front camera. As far as I know the phone doesn't let you do this. It would be cool if someone made a java app. that would allow you do this though...

It would be kind of cool cause you could see yourself before taking the picture, but seriously, that little camera is so crappy its hardly worth it!
Take some photos of yourself with your 5MP one on the back!

It would also be cool if they used the front camera to make some wii like games.

VGA did us quite fine back in the K700i though.

sweet! Even on branded phones it works - BUT cannot take a photo.
Java app should do the trick.
