As my title states im new here and seek firmware updates for my optus branded w910i.

Just run Sony Ericsson Update Service and see whether new firmware is available for your Optus-branded W910i. If you want to debrand--removing all Optus customisation on your phone--- just visit www.kulankendi.com , buy a credit, follow the instructions and voila...
