Hi all,

I just bought a K660i and wanted to check if there is a new firmware for the phone.

I downloaded and installed SEUS 2.8.3.8. When I launched the app the SE-logo animation kept looping forever. So, I updated Adobe Flash to the latest version with IE. Now the app started. But now it just keeps Checking for updates... Nothing else happens. Can't close SEUS the usual way, but I have to end the process.

Anyone had this problem?

How long did you leave it doing that for and what kind of internet connection do you have? It does take a while. I'd say give it at least 5-10 minutes and check to see if the program is responding using task manager after this time.

Also, I doubt theres an update. That phone has only just come out!

It's responding (About-dialogue etc. works) and I left it running for at least 10min, probably closer to 20min. I'm at work on a 100Mbit connections.

Hmm that doesn't sound too hopeful then. I know it works on Vista because I use it on Home Premium. It is still slow though, but not THAT slow!

Maybe you could try uninstalling and then reinstalling it? I've heard that occasionally fixes problems with it.

Also, I've had it freeze up on me a couple of times (although task manager told me it wasn't responding). Yours could be freezing up too, but it sounds unlikely if it says its responding.

I tried reinstalling it, now I get the following error message:

"An error occurred while accessing the local information in the installation directory, please try again or reinstall the application."

I got the same error earlier before I reinstalled, but after a reboot it disappeared. Didn't help this time, though.

Bugger. Sorry I wouldn't know how to fix your problem other than to try another computer if you can. I don't see why it wouldn't work, it must be rather annoying!

Sorry bud.

This has happened to me before. I think it's just when the update server is having some trouble, as I tried a bit later and it worked.

Same problem here. I think it has to do with the connection to the phone. Try plugging the phone in normal mode before launching the app.
