the other day i was on the train and this girl got on and sat next to me. the train was pretty full by then and it was a bit of a squeeze.

her mobile rang and she answered... obviously a friend who wanted to while away a few mins.

anyway the girl proceeded to describe in graphic detail how the the day before she had had chronic diarrhoea and vomiting... i shan't go into the detail as she did, but i can tell u that her account included a scenario where she didn't make it to the toilet in time... the looks on ppl's faces were sg to behold! i'm sure i had a look on my face too and i felt v uncomfortable knowing the potential of such a bacteria that could be rapidly making its way to a new host!

so far so good... i haven't gone down with anything nasty. but it did make me think how before mobiles we were spared such info... ignorance is bliss!

Surely there was no reason to go into graphic detail whilst on the train. Some people.

Well i heard a phone conversation on the bus once. Some woman was telling a friend how this bloke was all over her the night before and while she was talking about it her voice went a bit quieter but you could still hear everything. Im sure some people would have been excited by it but i just kept having horrible visions about this man doing stuff to this woman. It was not porn it was gross.

Yeah, similar thing happened to me except this particular young lady didn't even bother to lower her voice whilst going into details of her bedroom exploits!

It is very uncomfortable, you kind of feel embarrassed for them! And with me being the way I am, I had to bite my tongue so as not to join in the conversation with something sarcastic

Yes people have no shame in how loud they talk or what they are actually saying.

Chap on train calling wifey and going through the usual hard day, lousy journey etc when a put off young lady leaned over and in a loud voice said " are you coming back to bed soon". I would have loved to hear the conversation when he got home.

wish i could've been that quick witted!

perhaps we can set a resource of "useful interruptions to over-loud conversations on public transport"!
