My Sony Ericsson k800i that I bought off eBay five months ago suddenly stopped working after I turned it off yesterday as it won't turn on! When I try to turn it on, a white screen comes up, followed by the Sony Ericsson logo, but then the white screen comes back up and fades away, comes back and fades away...like a boot loop on a computer! The only for me to stop this boot loop is to remove the battery. Also, the infrared port doesn't flash red like how I've read it does on other people's phones so the Wontan Client and Kulan-Kendi Client won't work for me. Can somebody please PLEASE help me as I am ready to throw my phone out the window!!!

you can try this:
You are flashing your phone and all of a sudden something goes wrong, Program hangs or it shows an error. Or Flashing goes with success but when you try to start your phone but the red light at the infrared port blinks 5 times and phone refuses to start. XS++ and SeTool 2 lite no longer detect your phone. Your computer also does not identify your phone. Its Completely Dead.. We will fix it, Read On.
Some time during flashing the EROM goes dead or corrupt due to errors. Redlight blinking is a sign of low battery or a dead EROM. If phone has a bad EROM it shuts down and does not start.
In that case we have to repair the EROM. And now here we will discuss the easiest way to fix it.
Using SeTool2 lite 1.11 we can fix this problem by this way.
Download SETOOL2 lite 1.11

Start SeTool 2 lite
Press Unlock\\Repair Button, The first button.
Reinsert Battery
Connect phone holding 2+5
Wait, SeTool 2 lite will repair the EROM, it will flash it back.
Done
Now you can start your phone.

try simple things such as remove memory card and try without it, and leave thebattery out for a few hours then try it again. Failing that, it sounds bad.
If under warranty I'd try getting a replacement phone before doing anything such as flashing with xs++, which will invalidate warranty.

Well I took it to the shop yesterday, and they said that they would have to replace the entire motherboard. Should I replace it?

Hello guys,
My k800i wont start every time i connect it to the PC or try switch it on i get 5/6 burst flashes from the Infra Red port! now this has happened to me before and using the wotanserver i managed to repair my other phone!
however this phone doesn't even want to be recognized by the computer! i have used Wotan, kulan and SEtool2 none of them recognize the broken phone and all of them recognize the working one!
at this point i am really open to ideas whatever you think it might work!
just to mention i recharged the battery to 100% tried using the "c" key and also i have tried using the "2&5" it ain't working either!
any help will be greatly appreciated!

can someone please give me the latest firmware for k800 R8BF003 with HONGKONG or APAC ?? i need the main and the fs please...
i've tried SEUS and it did download, but when it tried to install to my k800i, it says failed.
THen i tried XS++ and unlock/repair it. Got all the messages in the box, but phone still havent fixed.
Tried WOTAN but now you have to pay for the service, right? as opposed as free back in the days by leaving the login and password blank?
Any other ideas, people???? if someone has the firmware main and fs for R8BF003 hongkong or apac, it will be appreciated !!! thanks guys...
