Hello all:

Has anyone had any success synchronizing their M600 over BT with Debian Etch ?

Debian Etch, opensync (syncML)and the MultiSync app.

My w880 syncs just fine - but the M600 not. I can successfully pair them, but they won't sync. When I scan for devices from my PC, it finds the M600, but without a radio channel. When I manually add "1", it finds it, and pairs. It just won't sync. Attempts, then fails without any messages. just like it's timing out or something.

I've also tried with an MSI Class 2.0 BT dongle, and an older class 1.0 dongle. Same results.

BT sevices sow up as Serial Port and Object Exchange.

Anyone?

Thanks.

Bump.

No one out there using linux with an M600i synchronizing PIM data?

All I want to do is sync my address book, notes, tasks, and calendar.

I'd drop multisync in a hot second if there was/is another Linux app out there that would do the job.

I've tried all kinds of options to make this work. It's still killing me.

I've tried vmware-winxp, vmware-kubuntu, vmware-ubuntu.

The only combination I can get to work is WinXP native on a laptop and an old class 1 BT dongle. (haven't tried the newer, class 2 dongle - maybe it works.)

It's all about convenience - thus I want to make this work in my Debian Etch AMD64 environment.

Almost there with vmware-winXP. The M600 will sync ok with the USB cable, but not bluetooth. Same issue as before. I can pair the devices every time (and send files back and forth) - but they just won't sync. The SE PC Suite for smartphones (1.3.3) can find the paired devices but can't connect.

I think it may have something to do with serial ports, but I haven't been able to get any answer to that end either. The only other oddity is that while the USB connection forces you to choose between "file transfer" (non-sync) and "phone mode" (for syncing) the bluetooth environment does not seem to have that. At least I don't see that anywhere on the phone.

Any thoughts??

Thanks.
