> NEED HELP! P1i debrand and update
Bookmark topic
Hey there,
I'm trying to change my CDA to World Generic 1 so I can get the latest update through SEUS. I've been combing through these and other forums for the past two days and following every tutorial i see, yet I can't seem to get it done.
My main problem is that when i load up XS++, (v3.1 Darwin) I take out the battery. sim memory card everything, reinsert the battery, hold 'c', all that stuff. The light under my device turns red, the screen goes white, and all i see is the battery on the top right hand corner (full, as instructed).
This all i get.
13:10:39| XS++ v3.1 (Darwin) Ready !
13:10:39| Executed on Microsoft Windows XP
13:11:01| Executing SEMC Smartphone Operations!
13:11:01| Please hold boot key ('@' or 'C') and connect device...
And it just seems to stay at 'Please hold boot key...' forever. Nothing happens!
The phone specs are
PHONE:
CXC 162037 R9G007
BLUETOOTH:
CXC 162143 R1C
ORGANIZER:
CXC 162108 R6D23
CDA:
CDA 162024/87 R1A
These are not on any CDA lists I've seen. From what I've googled, these digits are from Singapore.
Can anyone help me? Do I even need to go through XS? Maybe I should just update through SEUS? Although all i've heard are freak accidents and bricked phones. Seems like XS++ / SEUS is the best way to go.
What am I doing wrong here?

Do you continue to hold 'c' after you've connected it?
Does XS++ time out after 30 seconds?
Incidentally, the latest firmware isn't available on WG1 anymore, so you'll need to make it WG2, but we've got to get it working first.

yes, I've tried to hold 'c' before connecting, while connecting, yet XS still sits there on the message: Please hold boot key ('@' or 'C') and connect device...

When you use XS++ you should use the following steps:
1. Check the smartphone option.
2. Remove your battery for 10 seconds and put it back in.
3. Click connect on XS++,
4. Connect your phone while holding the 'c' button until xs++ status is ready.
If this does not work make sure you have the drivers installed for the phone. Check
