Yeah I saw one in a smallish town in New Zealand called Alexandra when I went camping over the xmas holidays. The only thing that held me back from buying it was that the shop had just one left and it was only shop stock and not in great condition.

Cool though. And decently priced. Wouldn't mind one for next time I go camping!

yep I'm keen. On pricing though, in Australia the cheapest I've seen them is $100 Australian, usually they are closer to $129. They retail for 30 Pounds in UK.

That's about $65 here, so I'm a bit dirty. $35 is a lot just for postage, especially when a canny retailer will buy a batch of them so the overall postage for them is a lot less than I would pay to have only one shipped from the UK. I might buy one from the UK just to stick it up the local retailers. It'll still be a lot cheaper.

That seems like far too much! The one I saw selling in NZ was $90, and going on current exchange rates (NZ dollar is strong right now), it would be AU$79.12, which is considerably cheaper! The shopkeeper was going to offer me discount seeing it was display stock too! Maybe I should have taken it...

Yeah, Aussie retailers are often tight assed knobheads. All accessories in Aussie are stupidly priced. If only they realised these things would walk out the door if they were properly priced.

Nah you generally have it better than we do. Accessories here are stupidly overpriced and when I visited Australia a few years ago (Sydney), I found most things, after factoring in the exchange rate, were cheaper for you guys. In fact its not just accessories, its pretty much everything including phones, MP3 players, cameras, etc.

A few years ago Vodafone used to overcharge purposely for things such as USB cables because they knew it was a free way to transfer things to and from a computer. Vodafone wanted people to buy their music, pictures, songs, etc and not get free stuff from the internet (or at least use their MMS services). Our other service provider didn't bring out a Bluetooth enabled phone for several years for the same reason. I think that this blatant monopolising still makes our accessory prices high today.

Sounds suckful. Vodafone in Aussie usually have the best priced accessories, so I take that back about Aussie retailers

Still there are those that try it on.

Hopefully I can find a local retailer stocking the freeloader at a reasonable price.

Yeah good luck with that!

Not many places stock it here. In fact I've only seen it that one time, and then once in a smalltime NZ magazine. Hopefully it grows in popularity so it becomes widely available as I wouldn't have a clue where to start looking for one in my city!
